Painter - Apprentice

Location: Waukesha, WI (field-based; travel to residential & commercial sites)

Blair Commercial Painting, LLC is a well-known and award-winning commercial painting company in Southeastern Wisconsin. We are hiring Apprentice Painters who want to learn, work hard, and build a long-term career in commercial painting.

Responsibilities

Follow directions from the Production Manager and Crew Lead.
Work on interior and exterior commercial painting projects (warehouses, offices, industrial spaces, etc.).
Perform prep work, masking, cutting, rolling, and spraying.
Help with cleaning and maintaining spray pumps and tools.
Assist with jobsite cleanup and organization.

Qualifications

Willingness to work hard, learn, and improve every day.
Ability to learn from mistakes and take coaching well.
Clean, neat, and organized work habits.
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
Able to communicate clearly and confirm you understand instructions.
Comfortable with ladder work and working at heights.
Ability to learn to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely up to 60'+.
Honest, reliable, and looking to grow with the company.
Clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and valid driver's license.
Availability to work some nights and weekends when required to complete a job.
If you have experience with vinyl wall covering, spraying drywall, or other specialty coatings, that's a major plus

Pay & Benefits

Full-time, W-2 Employment
Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on previous experience and skill level.
Paid weekly.
12 days of paid time off each year (7 major holidays + 5 personal days).
401(k) with 3% company match.
Health insurance: the company pays $300/month toward premiums.
Short-term disability plans are available.
Overtime available as needed to finish jobs on schedule.

Hands-on training is provided throughout the year.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, daytime hours (8-hour shifts).
