Painter - Apprentice


Location: Waukesha, WI (field-based; travel to residential & commercial sites)


Blair Commercial Painting, LLC is a well-known and award-winning commercial painting company in Southeastern Wisconsin. We are hiring Apprentice Painters who want to learn, work hard, and build a long-term career in commercial painting.


Responsibilities

  • Follow directions from the Production Manager and Crew Lead.
  • Work on interior and exterior commercial painting projects (warehouses, offices, industrial spaces, etc.).
  • Perform prep work, masking, cutting, rolling, and spraying.
  • Help with cleaning and maintaining spray pumps and tools.
  • Assist with jobsite cleanup and organization.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work hard, learn, and improve every day.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and take coaching well.
  • Clean, neat, and organized work habits.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confirm you understand instructions.
  • Comfortable with ladder work and working at heights.
  • Ability to learn to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely up to 60'+.
  • Honest, reliable, and looking to grow with the company.
  • Clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and valid driver's license.
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends when required to complete a job.
  • If you have experience with vinyl wall covering, spraying drywall, or other specialty coatings, that's a major plus

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on previous experience and skill level.
  • Paid weekly.
  • 12 days of paid time off each year (7 major holidays + 5 personal days).
  • 401(k) with 3% company match.
  • Health insurance: the company pays $300/month toward premiums.

  • Overtime available as needed to finish jobs on schedule.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, daytime hours (8-hour shifts).
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work when required by the project schedule.
